You’re invited to ABC’s upcoming happenings. The Events Committee meets monthly to facilitate and coordinate a variety of housing-related opportunities. Don’t see an event you are interested in? Have an idea for an event that you think those interested in housing affordability would like to see? We welcome new members! Our next meeting is Tuesday, May 24 at 7:00pm. Book Club meeting - Alewife District Plan
- When: Wednesday, June 8, 6pm
- Where: Zoom meeting
Chris Schmidt will lead an ABC Book Club meeting to review the Alewife District Plan Report detailed here: Envision Cambridge - Alewife District Report to understand what it contains and prepare to inform the council-led discussion of rezoning in Alewife. Also part of the conversation will be a presentation of significant case studies of redevelopment we can use as models of what an aggressive approach to Alewife could look like. This area of Cambridge represents one of the last large parcels in the city where a lot of housing could be built so we want to be ambitious in advocating for the maximum amount of housing. Meeting will be held on Zoom.
More events coming soon: Tenants' rights, more neighborhood walking tours, book club discussions, tabling in the neighborhoods
